The guests were welcomed to Nagadas and Dhol’s and then started the ceremony. The Lagan Lakhvanu ceremony was filled with customs where men sat with topis on their heads and khes and wrote invitations with peacock feathered pens. There after moving to the performances from both sides. The groom performed a surprise track for the bride and went down on his knee to propose to her again. The ring ceremony concluded the dances.
The guests enjoyed the spread at the event with activities like Astrology ( Popat Ni Vaani ) Make a Wish ( Mannat - Tie the Chunri ) at the Banyan tree and Float a Diya ( Kamshet Ghat ) in the pond.
The food was the highlight from each station named after an Indian festival. From Balle Balle as the North Indian Station to Season of Love as the Christmas Dessert Bar to Aavi Diwali with all the amazing Indian Desserts, there was a Shubh Padva with Maharashtrian delicacies to Balam Pichkari as a Chaat station., and it didn’t end here there were a few more like Govinda Aala, Ae Haalo & Vanakkam Onam. It was truly a food haven for all the guests who had specially driven hours to make it for this event with a closure to Khaike Paan.
The evening ended with an unplugged Sufi band overlooking the mountains, everyone
sitting on the lawns with a candlelit setting and the cold wind blowing. It was a
sight to adorn. The highlight of the evening was the couple taking pictures with
their 3 babies, their 3 pet dogs.
All in all a story that shall forever remain close to our hearts.
